Vasa Ship Museum, Stockholm
Vasa sank in Stockholm's harbor, on its maiden voyage, in 1628. The cold, relatively fresh water preserved the ship in remarkable condition. It was raised in 1961, and is now Stockholm's most popular tourist attraction.
